Let Us Pray:
Lord, forgive our pride in our own efforts
and the fear of missing out on something
good if we just do what You call us to do.
Remove from our hearts and minds ungodly
ambition.
Lord, place within us Godly humility which is
born out of the knowledge that apart from You
we can do nothing of value, nothing that will last
into eternity.
Father let us have joyful confidence in Your Word
that assures us that nothing is impossible with You.
Take what is left in our individual temperaments,
personalities and weaknesses as individuals and
mold them together into something more than the
sum of the parts for Your glory by Your grace.
In Jesus name we Pray.... Amen!
I have been in business all my life from the age
of 10 I have been a businessman.
Leadership can be a lonely business filled with great
amounts of soul-draining human interaction but little
soul-filling intimacy.
I respect my business friends who hustle day and
day out and those who have gone on to great success.
Without some safe-harbor relationships where we can
lay down all the armor and weapons needed to face the
world and relax in confidence and unguarded communion,
we become vulnerable to enemy attacks. EGO-soothing
instant gratification has been the downfall of many a leader
in every walk of life.
Jesus Christ told His disciples,
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.
Now remain in my love. . . . My command is this:
Love each other as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this that he lay down his life
for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.
I no longer call you servants. Because a servant does not
know his master’s business.
Instead I call you friends; for everything that I learned from
my Father I have made known to you (John 15:9, 12–15).
There are blind spots today that can quickly undermine
our integrity and trust of those who look to us for leadership.
The time is now the place is here to glorify the King.
